The Mile High City:
Colorado is known for many things such as the Rocky Mountains, the natural scenery it has to offer and for all of its outdoor activities. Colorado’s history is wrapped around the Old West and the pioneering spirit. In addition, Colorado has the highest average elevation than any other U.S. state. Denver, Colorado’s capitol, is often referred too as the “Mile High City”. It actually sits at 5,280 feet above sea level (exactly one mile high).
Discover The Magic
Come explore the magic of Denver, where a thriving arts as well as cultural scene awaits your arrival. Experience the Denver Arts Museum, or maybe you would prefer to catch a Broadway show in the Denver Performing Arts Complex. I personally enjoy taking in a concert at the Red Rocks Amphitheater. An iconic outdoor concert venue nestled between the the Great Plains and the Rocky Mountains.
Red Rocks Amphitheater is known for its concerts where musical Icons like the Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Grateful Dead, Diana Ross, Earth Wind and Fire and the legendary Michael Jackson have performed. Also, there are many other activities to partake in as well.
Red Rocks offers a range of hiking trails, some of the most breathtaking views and Yoga on the Rocks. Ensure to stay hydrated. Red Rocks is 6,450 FT above sea level.
Adventurous Attractions
Colorado offers a variety of enjoyment for your visit. A glorious night scene filled with entertainment. Enjoy a glass of Fine Wine as you experience authentic steakhouses and flavors from the West. Tour one of the countless breweries offering flavor-able and unique creations. Colorado has so many wonderful things to see and do. Here are just a few of my favorites.
Elitch Gardens
Enjoy the fun of Elitch Gardens. An Amusement Park which offers entertaining shows and some of the best rollercoasters and rides in Denver. Experience the thrill as you go up, down, around, and upside down on rides like the Tower of Doom, the Boomerang or the Mind Eraser. Not a thrill seeker? Everyone can still have a blast with all of the family/kid’s rides and attractions as well. A great place for fun and excitement.
The Springs
Colorado Springs is a prime spot for tourist and great food. One place you have to see is The Garden of The Gods. Experience the best rock climbing routes, hiking and horseback riding.
Whether you are young, in good physical condition or a little more seasoned in life, you will love the Electric Bike Tour. Take advantage of the bike’s new technology as it helps you easily cruise up and down the hills. Feel the breeze on your face and embark on a wonderful ride through the Garden.
Estes Park – Home Of The Rocky Mountain National Park
My favorite spot is Estes Park. A town in Northern Colorado with great fishing and some of the most glamorous views the world has to see. The Stanley Hotel is a must see! The inspiration for the film “The Shinning”. This historical landmark sits at the base of the road leading to the Rocky Mountain National
Park. There you will be amazed with beautiful scenery and all of the wildlife running around in its natural habitat.
The Wonderful World Of Sports
Colorado is home of the Denver Broncos – Three-time Super Bowl Champions. The Colorado Avalanche – Stanley Cup World Champions and most recent NBA Champs, The Denver Nuggets. Let us not forget the Colorado Rockies who has represented in the World Series as well. The fans are great and really support their teams. Furthermore, with all of the stadiums located Downtown Denver makes game day even more exciting and adventurous.
Winter Wonderland Adventure:
As for the winter sports enthusiasts, Colorado is like heaven. Home to World Class ski resorts such as Vail, Aspen and Breckenridge. These resorts have exhilarating runs for all skill levels. Personally, I am not one to dawn a pair of ski’s. However, tubing is a blast. Soaring down a snow-packed mountain is thrilling. Afterward, relax in a cozy mountain lodge with a hot cup of cocoa or coffee and enjoy the crackling sound of a nice, warm fireplace. In addition, the warm hospitality helps to create the perfect environment for rejuvenation.
Colorado is a place that is sure to ignite your adventurous spirit. From the glorious peaks of the Rocky Mountains to all of the wonderful attractions, the breathtaking beauty of your Colorado Adventure will leave you with long lasting memories.
